From managing Die cutting products with Sandvik an opportunity was presented to distribute Sandvik products through my own business channel. A similar opportunity of representing Sandvik process systems as an agent arose. With having had a fantastic career at Sandvik it seemed the perfect fit to continue working for the Company through my own business.

Sandvik Die cutting products have been designed and developed at Sandvik in Sweden, production of the product range has moved to Asia over the last 14 years. There a team of highly qualified and skilled personnel process global orders. Once orders are shipped to New Zealand they are stocked at the BM Process Solutions warehouse located at First Global logistics. Our business prides itself on meeting customer’s needs with prompt delivery of the correct precision product.

In 1901, Sandvik produced the worlds first steel belt conveyor, used for transporting waste from a sawmill in Sweden. While the transportation of bulk goods from A & B remains an important application, today’s steel belts are more likely to be found at the heart of sophisticated production systems for production as diverse as films for LCD screens, wood based boards and panels, filtration materials and baked goods. You’ll even find our steel belt technology used as a rolling road in the wind tunnels used for improving Formula 1 car aerodynamics. Sandvik process systems, a product area within Sandvik Material technology, is a world leader in steel belt process technology, designing, manufacturing and installing steel belts and belt systems for the food, chemical, wood based panel, oil and gas and many other industries.

My background in Engineering started with an apprenticeship with Repco Engineering, the company also promoted further education. An undertaking of NZCE Mechanical was started and completed in 1988. Following a period of overseas travel (OE) I returned to a position of maintenance foreman in the hot water division of Rheem. After a short period I was promoted to Project engineer in the container division. This was followed by a role at Sandvik NZ as a technical sales engineering in 1990. Added to this was the management of strip and wire products. Later in 2000 the Kanthal business was added. This resulted in the position of internal sales management and production manager. This has culminated into a history of substantial experience and knowledge to drive the business.

This vision is to build and expand a company of staff and support team who are motivated by the need to provide our customer base with an exceptional customer service experience.

The pride and happiness derived from providing quality products and experiences satisfied customers from the services offered is what motivates myself in the business.
